Dr. Le

Dr. Kieu Le, DDS in Reston, VA received her bachelor’s degree in dental hygiene from Old Dominion University. Dr. Le’s goal was to pursue her doctorate in dentistry. Dr. Le went on to receive her DDS from the Medical College of Virginia in Richmond Virginia four years later. She completed her postdoctoral residency program in advanced education in general dentistry. Dr. Le is highly focused on sharing the importance of preventative dentistry and the overall health with her patients. She has a passion for cosmetic and restorative dentistry. Dr. Le is known for getting to know each of her patients on the very first visit paying attention to every detail, she finds this to be one of the best parts of her profession. Dr. Le is a member of the American Dental Association, Virginia Dental Association and Academy of General Dentistry.

In her spare time, Dr. Le enjoys spending time with her 3 daughters, hiking and cooking.

Dr. Joan Yoo

Dr. Joan Yoo was born in Dallas Texas, but her family moved around a lot as a child, including South Carolina, South Korea, and Colorado. Dr. Yoo attended The Ohio State University for her undergraduate education, then received early admission into The Ohio State University College of Dentistry, graduating as one of the youngest in the Class of 2009. After graduating dental school, Dr. Yoo was part of a pilot program for an expedited post-doc training, working alongside a former OSU GPR director of 20+ years. The program was an excellent opportunity since the training offered 1-on-1 mentorship, took half the time of a conventional residency, and offered double the compensation. The scope of her training included managing Trauma/Infection/Emergency cases, extensive Oral Surgery (full mouth extractions with alveoplasty), and Endodontic cases (root canals).

As a more "seasoned" dentist with more than a decade of experience in Private Practice, Dr. Yoo now focuses more on restorative treatment with an emphasis on Minimally Invasive Dentistry. She has extensive experience in Cosmetic cases, CAD/CAM technology, Full mouth reconstructive cases, Clear aligner therapy, Implant placements and restorations, etc. Dr. Yoo understands the power of Continuing Education and devotes much of her time to being a lifelong "learner". Dr. Yoo is also known for her meticulous, fastidious attention to detail with an "artist's eye" and is a firm believer in the golden rule of "Do to others what you would have them do to you" and treats her patients as if they were her family.

When she’s not practicing dentistry, Dr. Yoo enjoys spending time with her husband and three young children and serving at her church.

Donna

Practice Manager

Donna is a lifelong resident of Virginia. She began her long career in the dental field as a dental assistant, moving into clinical department head, then into management. She is Fortune Management and Total Patient Services (Steve Anderson) trained in practice systems and management. When Donna doesn’t have a good book in her hand, she enjoys cooking and hosting family gatherings while being surrounded by her children and “spoiling” her grandchildren. She admits her favorite place to rejuvenate and relax includes the sand and surf of the southern beaches.

Kellie

Financial Coordinator

Kellie, a lifelong resident of Virginia, grew up in Fauquier County. She has been in the administrative side of dentistry for over 20 years. Upon arriving at Smiles at Sunrise, our patients are greeted by Kellie’s welcoming smile and cheerful personality. Kellie handles the scheduling, financial and insurance needs for our practice. Her willingness to help and attention to detail create an environment where our patients feel at ease.

In her spare time, Kellie spends countless hours in football stadiums cheering for her son. She loves her time at the beach and toes in the sand vacationing with her ever-growing extended family.

Kristin

Patient Coordinator

Kristin, a lifelong resident of Virginia joins Smiles at Sunrise with over 25 years of dental experience primarily focusing on the administrative end of patient care. She has a background in medical assisting in family medicine. Kristin, a graduate from Longwood University with a bachelor’s degree in psychology, has a passion for maximizing patient care while ensuring the patient’s experience is always positive. Kristin enjoys time on the water, fishing and boating. Her true joy is family and spending time with friends.

Susie M.

Registered Dental Hygienist

Susie, originally from Idaho, moved to Virginia in 1995, has been in dentistry for 30 years. She began her career as a surgical periodontal dental assistant and graduated from dental hygiene school in 2003. Susie’s background in periodontal disease motivates her to provide our patients with exceptional care through patient education and treatment of their periodontal disease as well as preventative dentistry. As a dental hygienist, Susie conducts bacterial testing in our office ensuring each patient is receiving individualized, best practices to treat their disease. Her passion, motivation and enthusiastic chairside personality create a long lasting, trusting relationship with each patient.

Susie is devoted to her daughter and loves spending time with her dog, Pennie Lane. Susie, a wine enthusiast, enjoys time with family and friends attending music festivals, concerts, and vacationing at the beach.

Susie, a lifetime resident of northern Virginia, has been in dentistry for over 30 years, graduating from dental hygiene school 20 years ago. Susie prides herself on being an advocate for her patients with a focus on the connection between dental care and overall health of her patients. She creates a friendly chairside environment with an emphasis on patient education.

When not curled up with a good book, Susie enjoys keeping up with the exciting happenings of her (3) children. She is a huge dog lover and finds quiet time with her fur baby, Brody. Susie appreciates the latest food trends and creating masterpieces in the kitchen for her family and friends but claims pizza will always be her favorite.

Roxy

Dental Assistant

Roxy, originally from El Salvador, moved to Virginia at the age of 15. After graduating from high school, Roxy enrolled in the Dental Assistant Program at Howard University, graduating in 1997. Roxy believes in a strong foundation and teamwork to create a work environment that she can be proud of. Roxy knows the value of listening to our patients and focusing on their individual needs at each visit. Our patients find comfort in Roxy’s kind and compassionate chairside demeanor while assisting our dentists in their dental procedures. Roxy takes pride in ensuring that each patient is comfortable and taken care of from the moment they arrive. Roxy has 2 children that keep her on her toes! In her spare time, she can be found on the soccer field sidelines cheering on her son. Roxy enjoys finding quiet time on nature walks.

Silvana

Dental Assistant

Silvana is a dedicated bilingual dental assistant with over 15 years of experience in the dental field. She began her journey in dentistry by earning her Dental Assistant Certificate from Northern Virginia Community College and expanding her skills through numerous continuing education classes. Silvana has developed a strong interest in the administrative side of dentistry including clinical duties, handling patient care, insurance claims, and account management. She has specialized experience in same-day crowns and received advanced training in crown design and milling. Silvana takes great pride in her work environment and patient care as she would of her own home and family. She admits to thriving and personal growth in an environment where she feels supported and a high standard of care of patients and staff is common practice. Silvana enjoys hiking, traveling, and spending time with her friends and family.

Nora

Dental Assistant

Nora is a recent high school graduate from Liberty High School in Bealeton, Virginia and is currently enrolled in college. Nora takes pride in keeping our sterilization of dental instruments in order and assisting the doctors and other team members throughout the day. Her fun and lively personality makes those around her feel relaxed at ease. Nora fills her time outside of the dental office babysitting. She enjoys being poolside with her friends and admits that her favorite past time is shopping. Nora is committed to daily workouts in the gym and the benefit of keeping her mind clear and focused.
